1. Have you had any successes already as a result of implementing the strategies in Module 2? Please detail them. It was so overstimulating I had to open up a few new stores! I've managed to fill a notebook and a trello board with ideas, one thing led to another, and yes I'm seeing sales! It's very exciting! All I need now is the time to get all my ideas out.

Using amazon for research and all of the niche ideas you gave us was an absolue game-changer for me. My A.D.D. made it impossible for me to concentrate on just one thing, I want to do ALL the things!

I had to walk away for a while and come back and I was afraid I'd be lost but it's so easy to follow that I had no problems even after taking a break from the course. Now that the holiday shopping season is in and I've done all I can, I have the time to finally move forward to module 3.

9. Did the module meet your expectations in terms of depth and breadth of content covered? Exceeded. I was so over inspired with all the niches and research advice that I ended up spreading myself out even more, but that's a good thing.

Not without going outside of the scope of the module, so no I think it was just the right amount of quality information. It was enough to inspire me without overwhelming me.

16. What are your expectations for Module 3? Well since I'm returning so late and it's already out I can see what's waiting for me and I'm super excited to dive in! I expect it will be just as informative and the first 2 modules and since it's an area I haven't done much in I expect I'll have so much to learn from it.

Yes, I have three stores and have been reviewing them after doing module 2. It opened my eyes. I have a website for one of my stores that is a topic that I am very interested in. I have been using your information to improve that store. One of my stores is for my art. It was very random. I was slapping my art on products. Now, I am analyzing and finding out who my target customer is. My tags are improving. I am getting more views.

I learned a lot more about who is my target audience. I found using Amazon for marketing research valuable. I used Chatpdt for the first time. It will be beneficial.

Yes, I am developing ideas for the unicorn tags. It makes a lot of sense. I am paying more attention to my descriptions, titles, and tags, as this is an area I need help with. I will use your strategies to stop going in all directions with my stores and pay more attention to my target audience.

It is very well laid out and easy to understand. I will be referring back to it often.

I want to open another store, and this module will help me pick a good niche. I must focus on what is missing in the marketplace and how I address it. I will first use the information you laid out to improve my present stores.

All Newbies need this before opening a store. I have opened websites, so I knew about picking a niche, but I made mistakes choosing something I had no interest in. I have learned my lesson. Module 2 is so detailed it would be an excellent guide to follow and refer to even if you have some experience. 

16.What are your expectations for Module 3?

I am looking forward to starting Module 3. I took a design course, but I still need help with the technical aspects. I have sold some invites, and I like creating them. I need more help with templates. The wedding market scares me. I am expecting to have more confidence after taking module 3. 

1.       Have you had any successes already as a result of implementing the strategies in Module 2? Please detail them.

I have sold items in a niche. Now the niche is something I noticed on my own prior to taking this module but I did follow many of the same steps outlined in the module. I have found that the biggest mistakes my competitors have made that worked in my favor is that they had the right idea but did not execute it properly. A lot of their artwork in that niche looks rushed.

I have other micro niches that I am building with one that might expand into a bit more. This came about from ideas from this course but I already have the motifs inside repeating patterns in my other POD shop. So now it is about how I’m going to place them on certain Zazzle products. What gets put on fabric (my other POD shop) such as a repeating pattern does not necessarily do well in the same format on a mug for example. It has to be taken apart and customized to the product as well as to a popular format seen on Amazon, or trends one sees in local stores, etc.

I am used to looking at hobbies, professions, charities, etc. when I am brainstorming for new ideas because the other POD I am on pushes that via design challenges and with the way their categories are organized.

I found the food section very interesting to separate by ethnic cuisine. It got me to listen in to people’s conversations when I am queued up somewhere waiting to pay at a takeout restaurant or at a grocery store. People express their tastes to each other like “Why do they always make it this way….” with “Yeah, I’d like to see it this way instead”. The more people in the group talking, the more you hear. Also the conversation spills over often from food to other dining items which Zazzle sells. This gives me better ideas to begin my search with as well.

Amazon was already a game changer in the first module. The only thing I did not pay enough attention to are the amount of reviews left behind so this is something I look at more closely now.

Since I was so absorbed with keeping an eye out for certain items Zazzle sells, there is one place I don’t want to mention that I came across by accident that has a wealth of styles and is also doing well on Amazon so it is a niche to try out.

“Stop words” was something I did not know are not indexed at all.

I really like the Thanksgiving and Hannukah ideas. There were things I did not even think of until I went through this module.

Using AI for SEO was a new and productive experience as well.

I like the part about having direct links to products as you are leaving them hidden as you are building your niche. This is actually something I started already but I did not know that you can still share the link on social media. So is something new for me to try out.

Yes, I think it did. However, I found that often when you are not looking is when it jumps out at you. Then upon doing more research on Amazon, I wondered how I could have missed it. Then when I went back to Zazzle, it jumped out at me that there are a number of items there for the niche. However, they look a bit more like a gag gifts for a stocking stuffer present. I want mine to be year round gifts or evergreen presents and that might be missing right now.

4.     Were the examples provided in the module helpful in illustrating the concepts discussed?

Google Trends was helpful. I have known about it previously but I applied it to other things. This course has gotten me to apply it to Zazzle and I have made some surprising discoveries here as well.

Yes, I found the tools very helpful and as is with many things that once you start using the tools other things come to mind as well as to where to conduct more research.

I already knew about researching Instagram hashtags because of my other POD shop. I will add that it matters because I did make sales from researching hashtags and applying them appropriately for my other POD shop.

Pinterest was an eye opener for some of the products. It should be remembered that more women visit Pinterest than men. So just like the “Grandma buying for the grandson example” in the module, one should remember that the likelihood is that the wife is on Pinterest and will purchase for her husband.

Yes, definitely. Numbers are not enough to look at on Zazzle. If the other designers are targeting a different type of audience and you’re not doing the same, there’s room.

Yes, because we are encouraged to think outside the box. It is very easy to get caught up in ‘what everyone else is doing’. I have even experienced a designer in the same social media group as me who started to copy what some of us were doing but not enough to be plagiarizing. He ended up leaving when this strategy did not work. If he would have continued with what he was doing before trying to be one of us, I think he would have been more successful. He was an original in his previous niche and just needed to become better known in my opinion. Ironically, he actually lost ‘running with the herd’.

Yes, the lessons were presented well.

The module exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed it.

Yes, it reinforced what I already started with that me being on the right track. Then it also provided me with more tips and gave me more ideas on how to proceed.

No, I found this module to be very thorough.

Definitely a 5. It was quite thorough.

Yes, the module does get you to analyze customer needs and wants. It also helps you tag the gift giver better. I know many people who are at a loss when they want to find something appropriate for the gift recipient. They will ‘google around’ until they have some ideas. That is where we come in.

Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect. I do not have an invitations in my shop at the moment but I will do my best to learn.

This module 2 for me was like a door that was closed and suddenly been opened :) Extremely complete and easy to understand for me that English is not my first language. The list of niche ideas it seems like there is no end 😅​ spectacular! It has given me a lot of ideas to niche down on some niches that I already have products and at the time start to think about new ones. Module 2 is one that I am always regularly watching over and over again.

Awesome to explore new niches and for me has been a great list of ideas to niche down. I like the idea of the unicorn tag and the semantic seo tags. I am dedicating much more attention to creating titles, descriptions, and tags.

The second module has been a true eye opener. The niche ideas blew up my brain. I couldn’t even think that it can  be so vast & there are so many new niches that are uncovered in the existing market. I can’t afford to open a new store since I already have 4 and I am finding it hard to tackle them all at once. However, I have decided to expand them and fill them up with my newly identified niches that are close to my interest and the ideology of existing stores. One of them is already getting a traction and making a few sales here & there.  I hope it will prove to be beneficial in the long run. However, I feel module 2 is the one that everyone should come back to from time to time to refresh the creative mind. It’s definitely not a one timer.

Niche ideas is the definitely the most interesting one. Like I said before, some of them I never even thought could be “niches”. I am definitely more careful with my titels and tags now. I have been using Chatgpt for a long time to write my descriptions. I haven’t tried it with titles since I like to design my own based on keyword research. The tags part with AI tools isn’t really helpful for me, may be I am not giving the right prompts but I am definitely using it for ideas generation, semantic tags, and more importantly, product descriptions & social media posts. It has been helpful in writing Pinterest pin descriptions as well. Holiday themes and products are definitely gems to explore and I am working on it since one of my store deals with that.

Indeed it was helpful. First, I couldn’t even come up with many niche ideas. That provided base for my profitable niche research. Then the cross niching and product ideas gave it a boost and got my brain working in a creative way.

I always need example to kick start my thinking process so yes it was truly helpful to have a better understanding of the whole concept.

I have been using google keywords planner & 1-2 others only for my research. Using Pinterest trends was something new to me, I have been using the Pinterest search option but never really used trends for keywords and trend searches. I now use it to find keywords to make my pins better as well. Amazon is a regular now for niche, product and keyword research.

Yes, it was sufficient to understand the concept.

Yes – like I said it really helped me finding a targeted customer base and focus on their need rather then wandering in all different directions. I will be implementing the strategies to improve my existing stores.

I love the flow of information and how it was presented. To be honest, I found it overwhelming at a first glance but giving it another rather 2-3 reads gave me a whole new prospective and how to approach it strategically.

It definitely exceeded my expectations like I said the information is a gold mine.

I am not into invitations yet since I found the invitation market is saturated already and I was afraid to enter it. However, it’s not I wouldn’t explore it ever so definitely look forward to it. I. believe it will enhance my designing skills in general so I would try to learn as much as I can from it.
